To my friends and family,
The winds of change that blow around have brought a dramatic next chapter to my life. Soon AFA will be without lease and my house sold, and Christie has graduated from NYU, so I will be truly free to focus on fulfilling my purpose and passion in a brand new day in a brand new way. I am going to close my gallery in New York at the end of March, and spend more time in France. I feel pretty exhilarated and melancholy, too...
Since making this decision I’ve been managing projects for two established artists, and will book exhibitions for them in the EU and USA. One of them is creating a monumental installation ON the castle during the month of June; (Whaaaaat!) Here is the press release. I am completely excited to be working with such a couple of world-class creatives.
For the past 18 months I have been working on something else, too. A multi-faceted project that will be held at Château Belcastel in 2020. It will be sponsored by the Department of Tourism, National Archives and Ministry of Culture! This has been a very interesting distraction for me, and while my attention has shifted towards it my French has improved. (The Vernissage will be June 25th, 2020 and of course you are invited....:)
I will always treasure the memories of time we have shared, and I want you to know that from the bottom of my heart it has been the greatest pleasure in my life to build the renowned successes with you and the dream team that has made AFA, err, “Animazing Fine Art” a legend, and only together was this possible. What a ride to have known the crazy-talented artists that have come to define the unique collection that began in 1983! LOOK! The 35th anniversary event history proves we rocked it, y’all....
Thank you up to the stars, and much love always,
Oh! January 30th the news below will be announced to the public:, so keep the cat in the bag till then, and if you or a friend would like the sale link in advance, text or email me and I will send a link to you. It is my intention to have a party, too….in April, and I’ll keep you posted
OVER 35 years in business and as part of a commitment to supporting our artists, AFA has acquired a significant inventory of artwork owned by the gallery. As part of the closing process, we will be offering our clients these works at a significant discount.
Original paintings, prints and sculpture will be offered at once in a lifetime prices on a first come first serve basis. The gallery will remain open 7 days through March.
