Synopsis: Avec une simplicité touchante, le livret relate les amours d'Acis, un jeune berger, et Galatée, une nymphe, dans une Sicile s’apparentant à l’Arcadie. Leurs sentiments suscitent la jalousie du cyclope Polyphème, qui déclare sa flamme à Galatée mais se voit rejeté par la jeune fille. Surprenant les amants ensemble, il est pris de rage et tue alors Acis en l'écrasant sous un rocher. Galatée pleure son bien-aimé et le métamorphose en une rivière, perpétuant ainsi leur amour au-delà de la mort.

Synopsis: With touching simplicity, the libretto tells the story of the love between Acis, a young shepherd, and Galatea, a nymph, in a Sicily reminiscent of Arcadia. Their feelings arouse the jealousy of the cyclops Polyphemus, who declares his love for Galatea but is rejected by the young woman. Upon catching the lovers together, he is seized with rage and kills Acis by crushing him under a boulder. Galatea weeps for her beloved and transforms him into a river, thus perpetuating their love beyond death.

Georges Brassens les adoube sur la scène de Bobino. Créé et porté par Alain Féral, poly‐artiste charismatique, le groupe marque la chanson française par son originalité.

Between 1966 and 1975, Les Enfants Terribles enjoyed a period of great success with nine singles and two albums (C’est la vie, On l’appelle Madame). Georges Brassens gave them his seal of approval on stage at Bobino. Founded and led by Alain Féral, a charismatic multi-talented artist, the group left its mark on French music with its originality.
